This lightweight flywheel is both a vast improvement in shifting operation and drastically extends the service life of the clutch. In addition to the longevity benefits, a lightweight flywheel also allows the engine to rev more freely than with the heavy OEM flywheel, enhancing throttle response and in-gear acceleration with no detriment to driveability or altering the smooth, factory idle. Tested and refined over the course of many 24-hour endurance events and a proven race and class winner, this package stands up to a huge amount of abuse and just keeps right on ticking. This lightweight flywheel and twin-plate clutch package is 100% compatible with paddle shift transmissions - in fact, it also makes an enormous improvement in shifting for cars equipped with paddle shifters.
