Velocity AP Exhaust Manifolds for 2004-13 Aston Martin V12

$5,995.00

Quick Overview

Let your Gaydon-Era Aston Martin V12 like it was meant to! The OEM manifolds fitted to Aston Martin's V12 Engines are extremely restrictive and built with cost in mind, sacrificing vital horsepower and torque that the V12 sorely needs. Velocity's Exhaust Manifolds for all late-model Aston Martin V12s feature identical length primaries for optimum power and torque and eliminates the catalytic converters from the manifolds. These manifolds have been tailored to work in conjunction with Velocity AP's 200-Cell Sports Catalytic Converters to allow the 6.0L V12 to achieve its full performance potential. Available in Stainless Steel or optional Inconel 625 (+$6,000).

Velocity AP Exhaust Manifolds (Headers) for Aston Martin V12 (V12 Vantage, DBS, DB9, Vanquish 310)

Let your Gaydon-Era Aston Martin V12 like it was meant to! The OEM manifolds fitted to Aston Martin's V12 Engines are extremely restrictive and built with cost in mind, sacrificing vital horsepower and torque that the V12 sorely needs. Velocity AP Aston Martin V12 Performance Exhaust Manifolds (Headers) Overall

The OEM Manifolds have four very large and extremely restrictive catalytic converter bricks incorporated directly into the manifolds as well as primaries that are nowhere near "equal length." When these catalytic converters break down due to how close they are to the exhaust ports, some AM V12s have been known to suck pieces of the catalyst matrix back into the engine - which causes serious damage fo the valves and valve seats, resulting in a seriously expensive engine repair.

Velocity AP Aston Martin V12 Performance Exhaust Manifolds (Headers) Compared to OEM Manifolds

Each initial primary diameter is exactly the same length. In addition to millimeter perfect primary lengths, these headers feature a fully fabricated merge collector, not a formed/pressed collector (a cheaper collector-type that robs vital power as it does not merge the four exhaust gas flow-streams equally. You can see the knife-edged internal structure and the level of workmanship and detail put into every set of Aston Martin Exhaust Manifolds Velocity AP produces.

These manifolds/headers were independently performance tested on a Dyno Dynamics Rolling Road (paired with Velocity AP's 200-cell Sports Catalytic Converters, performance exhaust and ECU tune). Known for being extremely accurate and consistent, Dyno Dynamics units are often referred to as "The Heartbreaker" for giving notoriously low readings. Using this extremely accurate dynamometer, a customer V12 (2005 DB9) yielded 409.328bhp and 398.207ft/lb torque. After the installation of these manifolds (paired with sports catalysts, exhaust system and ECU tune), the car produced 452.363bhp and 428.990ft/lb torque, an increase of 10.51% in horsepower and 7.73% increase in torque - It's important to understand that these figures represent a BHP gain greater than 43bhp - Aston Martin rates the 6.0L V12 DB9 at 450bhp and 440ft/lb - a 10.51% and 7.73% increase over this figures would represent a gain of 47.3bhp and 34ft/lb for flywheel output of 497bhp.

As a result of all of these factors, HP and torque have been improved across the RPM range, leading Velocity AP's test driver (who has had plenty of single-seat racing experience) to say, "Definitely need the traction control ON!". The DB9, with nearly as much HP as a DBS and an additional 54ft/lb of torque, is now faster than a DBS in real world driving conditions.

Similar performance gains can be expected on V12 Vantage, DBS, Virage and later-year DB9 models.

Key Features:

  • Significant Horsepower and Torque Gains (+47bhp, +34ft/lb when used with sports catalytic converters, ECU tune & exhaust)
  • Enhanced Throttle Response
