These LEDs come in various colors and brightness
options. The tail light LEDs are available in Red.
You can also choose from three bulb models:
The HP48 is a non-polar bulb, CK compatible,
with 48 Epistar 3014 LED chips. The light from this High-Power
bulb is shined backwards and away from the bulb providing
excellent output by using the vehicles housing completely.
The HP11 has four side-firing 1.5W-rated Osram
LED chips, and one 5W-rated CREE LED chip on top, which is
projected by a lens for maximum brightness. The bulb is also
housed in a machined aluminum casing, which provides superior
heat diffusion for long life.
The XP80 has four sides on this bulb that
contains two 5W-rated CREE chips, and the top is fitted with
four more
under a projector lens. This is the brightest self-contained
automotive LED bulb on the market. It is housed in an aluminum casing with
a textured finish for maximum heatsinking properties.
These bulbs use a 3157 terminal, with a
full-size base connector and pin alignment for exact replacement
of your factory 3157 bulb.
Please Note: These LEDs are rated with low lumens
because unlike other brands, Diode Dynamics doesn't provide
"calculated" numbers. For example, if a bulb has five 10-lumen
chips, competitors' will rate it as 50 lumens. This "calculated"
lumen rating is actually much higher than the true, measured
light output, so it will look like the competitors' bulbs are
brighter.
