While the G8 came fresh out of the factory with a strut tower brace, the piece of metal under the hood is little more than a cosmetic part and is functionally useless, made from thin walled 1""x.083"" seamed tubing and does little to reinforce the strut towers.

Aggressive driving - and especially track-day driving conditions can move the towers around enough to create erratic handling inconsistencies out on the track and cause temporary alignment drift. Most of this load is directed inward as the strut/spring compresses and attempts to close the distance between the two towers, so bracing to tie the towers together helps cancel out the deflection.



BMR's front Strut Tower Brace reinforces the front end by tying the two strut towers together, effectively canceling tower deflection.

The BMR strut tower brace is made from 1-¼"" diameter x .120 wall DOM steel and 3/16"" CNC laser cut steel plates, and what's more, The Strut Tower Brace uses existing holes to mount in the engine bay, so there is no need to remove the struts or make any permanent modifications to the car during installation, making this truly a bolt-in piece.

This BMR Suspension upgrade is available in your choice of red powdercoat or black hammertone finish.

These strut tower braces are formed to the contours of the covers in the G8 engine bay for enhanced cosmetic appeal.

Note: This system is designed for Naturally Aspirated G8 models and does not fit models fitted with Superchargers like Magnuson.
