Launching harder, reducing wheel hop, and adding cornering consistency to your 2005-2014 Mustang is easy with lower control arms from BMR Suspension. The OEM stamped steel control arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load, causing them to absorb power rather than transfer it to the tires. BMR’s polyurethane, non-adjustable tubular control arms for S197 Mustangs are TIG-welded using heavy-duty 1x2-inch boxed steel tubing, creating a strong control arm that greatly improves performance.

BMR Suspension designed their Rear Control Arms to work well in street performance, drag race and road race applications. The stock control arms flex under cornering loads, giving you inconsistent handling characteristics, creating an unpredictable car on the track. The flexible OE control arms, coupled with soft bushings that have massive amounts of deflection, and you’re left with poor performance. Featuring Greasable, 95-durometer bushings, these offer a solid, more responsive feel than the stock rubber bushings.

BMR’s bushings are internally fluted, which allows grease to evenly coat the inner sleeve. These flutes also direct grease to the outer edge of the bushing, keeping the thrust surface lubricated. This efficient lubrication ensures quiet, reliable operation over the life of the bushings.

The BMR part's heavy-duty construction eliminates control arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street, starting line, or in the corners. BMR’s polyurethane bushings are designed to be compliant enough to give you a comfortable ride and absorb NVH, while remaining firm enough to stand up to high loads of any performance environment. The bushings easily handle the high compression loads of hard launches and hard acceleration, yet offer plenty of articulation for great handling. These are the perfect upgrade for the enthusiast looking to improve performance at an affordable price, while maintaining acceptable NVH levels and ride quality.

When performance is a must, rely on BMR Suspension!

The single upper control arm is responsible for maintaining pinion angle and preventing axle counter-rotation - this "3 link" style suspension is ideal for autocross and road race applications as it allows the most articulation possible with a solid axle.

For drag racing, however, the single, centered link becomes a weak point as the arm is only one inch thick in the middle and made from light gauge, stamped steel. BMR's DOM Upper Control Arms are made from 1 5/8" .120 wall DOM tube and are TIG welded. These DOM Upper Control arms are also "on-car" adjustable to allow you to tailor your setup.

The next part of this Level 3 Rear Control Arm upgrade package is BMR's Upper Control Arm Mount. This upgrade is a direct replacement for the OE piece and requires no drilling or welding to install. The last generation Fox body Mustangs had upper control arm mounts incorporated into the frame and also had two upper control arms sharing the load, but drag racers were finding that they kept ripping the mounts off of the frame when racing. The solution for those cars was to weld reinforcement plates onto the frame, but this new Mustang platform only has one upper control arm and the mount is only bolted into place. The BMR Upper Control Arm mount is much stronger than the OEM component - this upper mount is made from heavy duty 1/4" plate and can be either bolted or welded into place and features dual control arm mounting points for changing instant center.

These control arms are paired with BMR Suspension Control Arm Relocation Brackets that correct the suspension geometry of your Mustang's rear end.

Manufactured from 3/16” CNC-laser-cut steel plates, these bolt-in brackets provide three new mounting locations for the control arms, correcting the rear suspensio's anti-squat characteristics. Additionally, this newly designed bracket uses existing factory holes in three locations per side, preventing counter-rotation, and this extra-strong mounting arrangement eliminates the need for welding in for all but the most extreme applications.

The BMR Control Arm Relocation Brackets correct the vehicle's instant center, improving traction on the drag strip as well as enhancing handling traction during corner exits. BMR can proudly claim that these Relocation Brackets are the only brackets in the industry that have been 1.1 sixty-foot times, BOLTED-ON! We also have many 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 sixty-foot combinations running these same pieces.
