Evolution Racewerks is a high performance parts manufacturer and race car builder. Formed in 2004, the primary business was custom fabrication work as well as race car preparation and building. Right from the beginning, the company began to gain notoriety in the local area and quickly gain a reputation as a top notch fabrication shop. From SCCA Pro Rally Racing, Formula D Drifting, road racing, drag racing and other racing venues, Evolution Racewerks was helping their customers build winning race cars from the ground up. Within 3 months, their first customers were featured in major magazines which brought the company into the media spotlight. Soon, the company was involved in numerous magazine projects and articles and the company reputation grew exponentially.

By 2005, the demand for their custom fabricated race parts had grown to a point where we were essentially building the same part multiple of times. The decision was then made to expand into manufacturing our custom fabricated parts in mass. With the growth of their custom fabricated parts for Audi cars, this was the first market segment they started with. Staying true to their race car/custom fabrication roots, performance was our main priority. Evolution Racewerks designed their products as if they were going on race cars, paying painstaking attention to detail to performance and conducting extensive testing. This was well received by the Audi community as every single product they released was hailed as the best product available. In independent testing, their products were proven to outperform the competition. Thus, very quickly, Evolution Racewerks' company reputation grew in the Audi community.

With the success of Evolution Racewerks' Audi parts, the decision was made to expand into the next market segment. They were impressed by the 335i when it was first released. However, it wasn’t until news of the 135i that got them real excited. They decided the 135i would be the ideal platform to build a race car and so in the fall of 2007, we began our quest to acquire one. Our 135i arrived in April 2008, one of the very first 135i's in Los Angeles. The day we took delivery was the day they started taking apart the brand new car. Within days the first prototype parts were finished. A month later, the car was at display with its first barrage of prototype parts at Bimmerfest on May 2008. Yet another month, June 2008 was our first Time Attack race where these prototype parts were put to the test in real world racing conditions. In their inaugural race event, they took 2nd place in the Street Class RWD (3rd place overall in Street Class) and qualified for the Finals.

Through the rest of the 2008 year, Evolution Racewerks continued to campaign their 135i in Time Attack events, using this opportunity to push their products to the limit and continually looking for ways to improve performance. Thus, after almost a year of racing and testing and multiple revisions to improve upon the initial design, they finally feel that their products meet our own criteria of "Performance, no compromises”. Evolution Racewerks first few products for the BMW market were finally released in the spring of 2009. With many projects in the works, they will be releasing many more new products throughout the year and for many years to come.
