ULTRA WHEEL LIMITED
LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY warrants to the original retail purchaser that Ultra
products (except for
Wire Wheels and 2-Piece Wheels) will be free of structural, manufacturing, or
material defects, if
used under normal and intended use as long as the original retail purchaser owns
the product.
Wire wheels and 2-Piece Wheels have a one-year (1) warranty on workmanship.
Invoice or bill
of sale in the name of the original purchaser shall evidence proof of original
ownership. This
warranty is not transferable.
ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY warrants the factory chrome finish on products
for one (1) year from
the original time of purchase. The warranty covers only peeling and separation
of the chrome
from the wheel. The warranty does not cover surface rust. There is no warranty
on gold plating.
WARRANTY POLICIES:
Ultra Wheel Company’s sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty shall be
to repair or
replace, at Ultra Wheel Company’s sole discretion, without charge, any Ultra
Wheel product
which is returned (freight prepaid) to the dealer from whom the wheel was
originally purchased,
and which, after Ultra Wheel Company’s examination, shows that said product has
failed in normal
use and service due to defects in material and/or workmanship. Such repair and
replacement
shall not include installation.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS:
This is a Limited Warranty. Therefore no warranties or representations expressed
or implied,
including warranties of merchantability and use for fitness for particular
purpose to the extent
the law of the state of sale and federal law allows. Ultra Wheel Company neither
assumes or
authorizes any dealer, representative or other person or entity to assume for it
any obligation or
liability in connection with Ultra Wheel Company products uses or applications.
Ultra Wheel
Company further reserves the right to make changes or improvements in design,
materials or
specifications or make product changes without incurring any obligations to
replace, change or
improve products manufactured prior hereto.
Ultra Wheel Company will not be responsible for any damage or loss caused by
delays, failure, or
any consequential damage regardless of cause. Ultra Wheel Company will not be
responsible for
labor, transportation, or any other charges incurred in the replacement or
repair of a defective
part.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights
under state
laws. No warranty or representation by anyone other than Ultra Wheel Company
will be binding
by the manufacturer.
THE WARRANTY IS VOID IF:
1. The product is damaged in transit or misuse, accident or negligence, or has
been repaired or
altered by anyone other than Ultra Wheel Company.
2. The product is used in conjunction with any hardware, adapters, etc., other
than those supplied
by Ultra Wheel Company.
3. The product has had any repairs, modifications, or changes made by anyone
other than Ultra
Wheel Company.
4. Products that have been subject to corrosion of the finish due to neglect,
caustic cleaning
chemicals, harsh car washes, adverse weather conditions and/or improper product
care.
5. Original invoice or sales receipt is not available for verification, or upon
transfer of title on any
products by the original purchaser.
IMPORTANT:
All warranty returns that are reviewed by Ultra Wheel Company’s quality control
personnel and
found not to be subject to warranty coverage will be rejected and returned
without repair or
replacement to the sender at their expense. Appearance defects will not be
honored if:
A. Damage occurred during installation or rotation.
B. Damage caused from improper maintenance or improper cleaning
agents.
C. The wheel was sold as a “blemished” product.
DISCOUNT STRUCTURE:
All discounts will be determined by account qualifications and will be
calculated from the current ULTRA
WHEEL COMPANY W/D Price List.
OPEN ACCOUNT:
Open Account status will be established upon receipt and approval, by ULTRA
WHEEL COMPANY, of all
necessary requirements and an account number has been issued. All orders are
subject to credit
approval. All other orders will be shipped C.O.D.
FREIGHT:
Shipments with 250 or more wheels will be shipped prepaid. ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY
reserves the
right to select the carrier on all prepaid shipments. All export shipments are
Ex-Factory, Ultra Wheel
Company, Fullerton, CA.
CLAIMS:
The consignee must file a claim with the carrier for any missing or damaged
items. ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY
is not responsible for goods missing or damaged in transit with exception to
prepaid shipments.
ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY will not be responsible for any goods missing or damaged in
transit unless the
discrepancy is so noted in writing on the bill of lading and proof is provided
to ULTRA WHEEL COMPNAY
within 15 days of delivery date.
STOCK ADJUSTMENTS:
Stock Adjustments are not accepted. Any exception to the stock adjustment policy
will be considered on
an individual basis. If an exception is made, Stock Adjustments WILL BE charged
a $3.00 per wheel
reboxing charge and/or will be subject to a 15% restocking charge to cover
original freight, handling,
processing and accounting. All merchandise MUST have been purchased in the last
6 months and must
be in sellable condition. There will be no freight credit allowed on Stock
Adjustments. SPECIAL ORDERS,
PROMOTIONAL ITEMS, SPECIAL PRICED merchandise and “BLEMS” are not subject to
return. DISCONTINUED
PART NUMBERS not appearing in the current W/D Price List are not subject to
return. No credit
will be allowed for wheels damaged in transit to ULTRA WHEEL COMPANY.
DEFECTIVES:
Return of defective products MUST be approved and a Return Authorization Number
(RA#) issued PRIOR
to return. All goods must be properly tagged, boxed, palletized, loaded and
shipped with a packing slip
with the RA# and MUST be shipped freight PREPAID.
After inspection the purchase price and freight credit will be issued for those
items found defective.
Purchase price or freight credit will not be issued for those items found to be
free from claimed defects.
Customer will be advised of disallowed defects and must then determine the
disposition of the disallowed
defects within 10 days. Customer will be given the following options:
A. Disallowed defects will be returned to the customer, freight collect.
B. Disallowed defects will be melted; partial credit will be issued based on
current price of
aluminum. Composite and Wire wheels have no scrap aluminum value and are
excluded.
