EXE AND BMW
Under the design philosophy of Chris Bangle, BMW Chief Designer, BMW styling is
currently the most controversial among the prestige car segment. The
controversial flame surfacing and the bubble buttress versus the traditional
kidney nostrils and hofmeister kinked c pillar brings an interesting integration
into BMW's design. BMW's have always had an athletic looks about them, and our
newest design - the KonKourse wheel - is a twist on the traditional mesh design
that looks so right on BMW's. We offer this wheel in a staggered application to
show off the huge lip for the rear of the car. Furthermore, BMW's need very
little caliper clearance, giving the KonKourse an enormous lip (95mm in a
20x10.5) designed specifically to compliment the BMW's lines. We made 20x9.0 for
the front and 20x10.5 for the rear of the new 3 series (E90) and for the 5
series (E60 and E39) in 20 inch diameters.
As always the EXE cap is made of cast aluminum to compliment the wheels,
and the BMW centercap is interchangable with the EXE cap.
WHO IS EXE WHEELS?
EXE (EXECUTIVE) - Japanese slang meaning executive; a lifestyle associated with
fine dining, designer clothing and VIP cars. Also pertaining to those having a
strong preference for full size German and Japanese luxury sedans and coupes. In
Japan, the EXE style is the fitting of larger diameter wheels with the widest
possible width under the fenders of luxury sedans. The EXE wheel line is
designed for those with this style in mind.
EXE Wheels are designed to be vehicle specific. We believe particular style
wheels compliment certain vehicles more than others, hence we do not offer one
wheel for all makes and models. EXE wheels in different styles are targeted
toward Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lexus. Not all EXE Wheels are offered to all cars,
only vehicle specific applications. EXE wheels are manufactured in accordance to
factory tolerances and specifications, so you can be assured of the proper
offset, brake caliper clearance and a vibration-free ride for your Lexus, BMW,
or Mercedes-Benz.
EXE wheels are meticulous in detail, During production, no corner is cut, we use
the finest virgin T6061 aluminum-alloy in producing EXE wheels, and each is
machine polished to perfection with a diamond bit to achieve the highest
possible luster, then we use a triple coat of OEM quality clear coat to protect
against the elements. Our center caps are made with billet aluminum and the EXE
logo cast into the cap, no cheap, flimsy plastic or urethane emblem will do. All
wheels can be used with factory hardware, and all of our wheels are manufactured
for that specific vehicle, hence spacers and hub-centric rings are not
necessary.
