Blow Off Valve
Installing a larger Blow Off Valve with a larger venturi will help your
vehicle correct any excess pressure being built against the turbo impeller
blades, which could stop the turbo from spinning. This is known as a
Compressor Surge, and if this is eliminated, your turbo will spool faster, be
more efficient and durable over time.The Active Autowerke BOV system for the
335i and E60 535i is designed to exceed the performance of the turbo in stock
AND upgraded power levels. This is the SAME valve you might have seen used
on the mighty AA E36 600+ HP turbos and AA 500+ HP E46 M3 supercharger system.
This system is a tried, true, tested unit that has withstood the rigors of
boosts 20+ PSI.
Not only will this BOV system give you added protection of any compressor
surge your BMW will have, especially with increased boost levels as used on AA's
performance package. It has a uniquely designed venturi that will properly
vent off the boost spike while delivering a nice sound.
