Vitex Ambergones Decal Set
Vitex Ambergones are easily installed within 15 to 45 minutes. With that being
said, professional installation is still recommended.
Please use this picture as a reference as to how the decal is applied to the
headlamp corner.

Checklist before beginning installation:
□ Assure the surface
temperature is at 55 degrees or higher for proper adhesion.
□ Make sure the surface
is cleaned thoroughly. Do not use Windex or any product with ammonia.
The ammonia will put out gas for the next two weeks resulting in excessive
bubbling.
□ Prepare a spray bottle
with 32 ounces of water and six drops of soap. Dish washing soap will do fine.
This solution will be used to assist in aligning the decal once it is applied to
the lamp.
□ You should have the
following tools/items ready:
-
Soap solution
-
Razor blade (X-acto knife if you have one)
-
Decal application squeegee (a credit card will work in a pinch)
-
Heatgun (Hair dryer will work, will just take longer)
-
One (1) set of Vitex Ambergones
-
One clean and prepared BMW 3-Series
-
A very sharp, thin needle.
-
Optional: A friend would really help.
Step 1:
Clean the surface of the lamp.
Step 2:
Peel one side’s decal off its backing paper carefully, making sure the tape is
picking up all of the decal.
Step 3:
With the soap solution, spray thoroughly on the sticky side of the
decal. And spray an equal amount on the lamp in the area on which the decal
will be applied. The purpose is to make sure you can slide the sticker around
once it is sitting on the lamp so that you can align the sticker perfect.
Step 4:
Line up the decal with the amber part of the lamp until everything is just
right. Use the squeegee here to prevent bubbles.
Step 5:
Once the decal is lined up, hold it in place and squeegee out all the excess
soap solution. Proceed to use the heatgun/hair dryer on the decal to evaporate
the rest of the soap solution, making sure to take care of any bubbles.
Step 6:
When the decal is completely dried and in place, peel off the application tape
slowly and carefully.
Step 7:
Use the razor blade or x-acto knife to trim excess vinyl, or make personal
adjustments to fit your taste.
Step 8:
Finally, clean your newly applied decal. A small amount of bubbles forming is
normal after a wet application as described. Please wait three to five days of
normal driving for all the bubbles to expand/contract. After three to five days
(longer in colder climates), use the needle to poke at remaining bubbles. Just
make a small prick, the smaller the hole, the better.
