With the VisionX H.I.D. lights there is no more messing with external H.I.D. ballasts. The ballasts and starter come pre-installed inside of the light housing. The light housing is made from die cast aluminum which makes the light very durable and prolongs its life. Another benefit of these lights are that they can be easily adjusted. The only tool required to adjust the H.I.D. lights is an Allen wrench, which is supplied with the lights.

About H.I.D Lights
H.I.D. is a three letter acronym which stands for High-Intensity Discharge Lamp. The way these lights produce light is different from that of regular halogen bulbs. While halogen bulbs create light by heating up a filament, H.I.D.'s produce a much brighter light by bridging an arc between two electrodes. This stimulates a mixture of Xenon gasses and metallic salts, which in turn produces a very bright light. H.I.D. lights are not only far brighter than standard halogen bulbs they; last up to ten times longer, are more durable than regular bulbs, have a broader light coverage area, and use less power while still emitting a brighter light.

Beam Patterns
The off road H.I.D lights are available in 2 beam patterns. A beam pattern is the way the light is dispersed out from the source.

• Euro - This light pattern gives you the all around package. It disperses light close to you, yet provides the distance necessary to see far . The pattern is similar to that of driving lights. The euro pattern is great for a mixture of desert driving and use in smaller environments.

• Spot - Beam pattern specifically designed to focus light in the distance. This allows you to see things further away, long before you come to them. They are most similar to high beams. The spot pattern is designed for traveling at high speeds.
