Looking for that proven performance
boost, while maintaining all OEM piping? The K&N
Panel Air Filter
is the key! This filter is specifically designed for each different
vehicle and will free your car from the air restriction that
comes from an OEM intake filter. This K&N drop in filter
maintains all of the OEM tubing and enclosures, while replacing
the paper air filter in the OEM intake with a legendary K&N
filter. K&N has always prided themselves with their 1
million mile warranty, so quality is never an issue
with K&N. This filter is 100% washable and reusable, but
depending on driving conditions cleaning will not be necessary
before 50,000 miles. Go with the
quality and name you can trust K&N.
the K&N High Flow Air Filter
1969 K&N Engineering has been designing, manufacturing, and
enhancing High-Flow Air Filters for the automotive and
motorcycle enthusiast interested in maximizing horsepower and
acceleration. Since our humble beginnings we have designed and
manufactured over 2,400 High-Flow Air Filters to fit most modern
passenger vehicles and over 500 High-Flow
Intake Systems to fit vehicles driven by enthusiast minded
drivers. We not only have more applications than any other
manufacturer of similar product, we invented the High-Flow
category and the High-Flow Technology that supports it. K&N
also makes thousands of
racing and specialty type air filters and is the only air
filter used at the Indianapolis 500 Race®.
air filter is designed to achieve high, virtually unrestricted
air flow while maintaining filtration levels critical to ensure
long engine life.
automotive OE (original equipment) replacement air filters
generally add 1-4 horsepower. The secret to our success lies in
the unique characteristics of our filter medium that was
originally developed by K&N all those years ago in the dust,
sweat and tears of desert motocross racing.

Warranty: 1 Million Mile Guarantee!
Million Mile Limited Warranty® and Consumer Protection Pledge
K&N warrants its street vehicle OE Replacement Air Filters for one
million miles. When used properly and found to be defective, return your
filter and the receipt from purchase and K&N will replace it free of
charge. K&N’s Consumer Protection Plan goes one step further than its
Warranty. The performance aftermarket has, at times, been plagued by
car manufacturers and automotive dealers that may attempt to discourage
you from customizing your vehicle. They prefer you buy OE parts and not
modify your car or truck and have even been known to void their own
manufacturer’s warranty due to vehicle modification. That sounds
un-American to us, which is why K&N and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (more
information here) protect consumers from such denied warranty
claims. When you buy an OE replacement K&N High-Flow Air Filter or
High-Flow Air Intake System you can be confident your vehicle’s warranty
will remain in effect. If you experience a difficult dealership, K&N
will resolve the issue so you won’t have to. The following summarizes
the K&N Consumer Protection Pledge:
K&N pledges to our customers that they will not be taken advantage of
and charged for a repair due to a dealership warranty denial blamed on
the presence of a K&N product
K&N makes The World’s Best Air Filter and we stand behind that
claim 100 percent.
Welcome to the frequently asked question (FAQ) section!
questions may be answered upon request through an Email or phone
1.) What does an Intake do?
replaces the OEM intake by a metal pipe with an air filter at
the end. This creates a performance boost due to its increased
air volume intake. Many speculate the amount of performance
benefits that it provides, but depending on how much the OEM
intake restricted air flow the aftermarket will provide
performance enhancement accordingly. There is a debate between
cold air and short ram intakes. Many prefer cold air intakes due
to its higher increase in performance.
2.) How much horsepower / torque will I gain?
|Depending on the
intake type, and application horsepower and torque gains will be
generated accordingly. Whether cold air or ram air much of the
gains are debated. Depending on how restrictive the OEM intake
was, exact horsepower and torque gains are debatable.
3.) Does Intakes void warranty?
|Intakes do not
void warranty. A dealership cannot "void the warranty on the
whole car" just because you have a CAI (Cold Air Intake) or
aftermarket wheels. if they are trying to deny warranty service,
they must prove that the mod caused the problem. Of course,
adding a turbo kit (for example) can put a lot of stress on the
engine itself, as well as to the drivetrain. Don't be surprised
if the dealer refuses to perform warranty service on a heavily
modified car, that's just common sense.
This is all part of the "Magnuson-Moss" Warranty Act, which
protects consumers against dishonest business practices by:
"The Act makes it easier for purchasers to sue for breach of
warranty by making breach of warranty a violation of federal
law, and by allowing consumers to recover court costs and
reasonable attorneys' fees."
(In short, if they try to void your warranty and your mod could
not have caused the problem)
More info can be found here
when the intake inducts water rather than air. This process
causes the engine to either shut off for a period of time, or
permanently damaging the engine. This often happens with cold
air intakes due to the location of the filter.
an intake increase gas mileage?
|Yes, gas mileage
will improve because the harder the engine works to suck in air
through the OEM intake the car uses up more gas. With a less
restrictive intake, and one with quicker response will save gas.
