FAQ's
Q: What
size BMW wheels does Beyern offer?
A:A: We offer staggered wheel fitments in sizes 15x7,
17x7, 17x8, 18x8.5, 18x9.5, 19x8.5, 19x9.5, 20x8.5, 20x9, 20x10, 20x10.5
and for the type multi, rapp and Wolff designs, sizes include 22x9,
22x9.5, 22x10.5 and 22x11.
Q: What
is a staggered fitment?
A: A staggered fitment is also referred to as a
staggered application. Basically it means that you are running different
sized wheels on the back of your BMW than from the front. Usually a
staggered BMW wheel fitment refers to wider wheels on the rear of the
vehicle, for example 19x8.5 on the front and 19x9.5 on the rear. Running
wider BMW wheels on the drive wheels means more grip on acceleration and
from an aesthetic perspective, it means larger lips.
Q: How
do larger wheels affect the handling and performance of my BMW?
A: You can improve the handling of your vehicle by
running larger BMW wheels. The larger BMW wheels mean you will run a low
profile tire and usually a wider tire. The low profile tire often
performs better when cornering and braking, because tire roll is greatly
reduced. The low profile tire will result in a stiffer ride.
Q: What
is a load rating?
A: A load rating refers to a maximum allowable weight
that a given BMW wheel has been tested and rated at. All BMW wheels can
be rated differently, for instance a passenger car wheel will require a
smaller load rating than a heavier SUV. A vehicle manufacturer will give
a standard GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) to each of its vehicles.
This rating is the maximum allowable weight for a fully loaded vehicle
including passengers and extra equipment. At that point each BMW wheel
is then tested and rated according to the GVWR of all the vehicles they
were meant to be mounted on.
Q: Can
I use the original BMW wheel center cap?
A: Yes. The Beyern wheels for BMW will accept the
factory cap. However you must keep in mind that BMW has built several
styles of center caps.
Q: Will
Beyern wheels fit all BMW’s?
A: These BMW wheels were designed to fit the 3 series,
5 series, 6 series, 7 series, Z3, Z4, X3 or X5 BMW. Of course we always
recommend test fitting for proper fitment prior to mounting of tires,
especially on heavily modified vehicles.
Q: Do
Beyern BMW wheels use the factory BMW lug bolts?
A:Yes. |
