Belltech Leaf Springs
Belltech’s leaf springs are designed to lower the rear of your Ford Full-size
Truck 3 inches and retain your smooth factory ride. All leaf springs come
complete with OEM quality rubber bushings and sleeves. The Belltech Leaf Springs
are powder coated for high quality and a long-lasting, durable finish. Leaf
springs are most commonly used for heavy vehicles, such as trucks, SUVs, and
vans. They have the advantage of spreading the load more widely over the
vehicle's chassis, whereas coil springs transfer it to a single point.
Unlike coil springs, leaf springs are located near the rear axle, eliminating
the need for trailing arms and a Panhard rod, which saves cost and weight in a
simple live axle rear suspension. Aside from a weight saving, the main advantage
of parabolic springs is their greater flexibility, which translates into vehicle
ride quality that approaches that of coil springs.
