Belltech Coilover Kit
The Belltech Sport Trucks coilover system is a type of suspension
that allows you to adjust the height of the front of your truck, rather than
having a permanent ride height with a standard spring lowering kit. Belltech
offer three variants of coilovers, the first is manufactured with Galvanized Steel Struts with a Fixed
Dampening Rate for an exceptional balance between comfort and performance for a
customer on a budget.
The second type of Coilovers are made with "KW" Inox-line
(Stainless Steel) Struts with a Fixed Dampening Rate and the third has an
Adjustable Rebound and Compression Dampening Rate that increases and maximizes
performance to suit any driving style. In addition to an adjustable ride
height, the Belltech Coilover Kit increases performance in handling without a
major sacrifice of comfort. The kit has a variable lowering range from a minimal
lowering of 0"-1" up to 4".
The difference in performance shocks are the type of steel
used to produce the product. The stainless steel construction is durable and will
hold up to anyone's driving style in any weather. Whereas the Galvanized steel
construction would suffer over time and eventually corrode in areas with high
salt concentrations on the roads, such as New York. Please be sure to choose the
type of steel accordingly for the benefit of your suspension and the overall
health of your vehicle. Belltech‘s coilovers replace factory shocks
and springs with a complete coilover unit that include performance shocks,
springs, dustboot, and threaded shock body.
About Coilover Kits
A coilover suspension basically gives
you a matched lowering spring and shock absorber combination with the added
benefit of adjustable ride height and spring rates through a moveable spring
perch or perches. Coilovers can improve your car's suspension in multiple ways
including reduced unsprung mass, an increase in suspension travel, and will corner
balance your car to aid in turning and cornering. A complete coilover
actually replaces the entire factory strut assembly with a light-weight steel or
aluminum body. These full strut replacement coilovers also feature a matched
spring and shock combo.
