By re-mapping your engine you are able to change, and control turbo boost amount, ignition and timing curve, and many other performance aspects allowing you to custom tune your BMW to your specifications. The new Active Processor features digital technology with 3D mapping capabilities, allowing you to maximize gains while still ensuring your car is well within the "safe" limits. All that is required to use the processor is a USB cable, and a PC with the software that is provided. Another important feature of the processor is the new implementation of the "map switch" feature. This allows you to switch between preset power gains whether they are purely for performance, or for economy.
