AWE Tuning spent countless hours in research & development to ensure their Cold Cone Box Intake kit was the most complete, best engineered solution available.  Most aftermarket intakes with open air filters also suck in the heat from the engine bay. This can kill any power gains generated by a free flowing filter. AWE Tunings Cold Cone Box features a beautiful fully enclosed carbon fiber box, giving your GTI a one of a kind look under the hood as well as supplying your 2.0T with only the coolest air.

Dyno testing showed increases of +13 crank hp and +8 crank tq, shown throughout the entire power band of the engine. Extensive power testing also showed that no sustainable gains were possible unless piping after the mass air sensor was uncorked, so AWE includes a 2.75 inch diameter stainless steel piping after the airbox.
