About 3dCarbon

3dCarbon was created by Ernie Bunnell and Billy Longfellow. They took the craft of making aerodynamic wings and curb-scraping air dams to a high art. Within years they had popularized the exterior customization market so completely that is was nearly impossible not to see one of their products on a Honda Civic, Acura Integra or Mitsubishi Eclipse in Southern California. They worked so well together, knowing just how to get through to their target market; offering young males a chance to give their cars a new breed of style.

Ernie Bunnell and Billy Longfellow truly believes in quality products; only using the highest grade materials and manufacturing methods. Beyond that 3dCarbon is always on top of what new designs are in at the moment. 3dCarbon is always coming out with new and ascetically appeasing products to make your ride anything but ordinary.

The History of 3dCarbon

3dCarbon was not the starting business that Ernie Bunnell and Billy Longfellow had created. In 1992 they founded Wings West, then 7 years later in 1999 an outside automotive investment firm acquired the company. Wings West continued to operate under the management of Bunnell and Longfellow for five more years.

In 2004, 3dCarbon was created. Bunnell and Longfellow broke away from Wings West to create their own enterprise with their longtime friend and former employer, Joseph Moran. In their earlier years they had already dominated the sports compact car market so Bunnell and Longfellow decided to reach out and take over a new segment, the muscle cars. When the new 2004 Mustang body came out they had their clean slate they were looking for. The first result of this was the 2004 Mustang Boy Racer Kit and accessories.

It was not an easy task for Bunnell and Longfellow to leap from their comfort zone of of the booming sport compact market, to the new challenges of stylizing domestic muscle cars. They hit the market hard, coming out with one of kind and aggressive styling products for the Mustang. After winning several coveted Best of Show Ford Design awards, 3dCarbon has successfully made the transition and continues to expand their styling product line.

Starting in 2011, 3dCarbon partnered with AirDesign to create a whole new line of body kits and accessories.
